After I came back from Greece, I have always thought of these two islands which I loved most, the reasons are as below.
The first one: Cats
It seems that Greece is Paradise for cats. You may find cats on most postcards of these two islands, which would make people love them involuntarily. The elegance of cats mingle with these beautiful views of islands in wonderfully, whose arrogance is much more than other cats who live in other places. Indeed some of them are very ugly with some irregular stripes on their face, however, against the typical cabins with white and blue windows, all of cats are so adorable. You would want to take care of them on impulse when you see them.
The second one: Beautiful Streets
I like rambling on islands. Although Mykonos is not big, it has many beautiful streets. The beautiful colors outside of each house is very Mediterranean. You will be attracted to every corner. You can fold your map when you walking on these islands, and won’t mind losing your way. Compared with the plans you have made, some unexpected travels could happen which will make you much more happier during your stay here.
The third one: Toy Cabins
No one can resists the ” Snowflake Cabin” on Santorini. People who have been here will tell you that you must land by sea, for this is the best way to appreciate many different views of the cliff, such as snowflake-liked cabin which is really a special views. Although from a short distance, you can’t distinguish if all these cabins are real or just toys. In fact, when I showed the pictures to other people at home who had never been there before, some of them thought they were toy cabins. They didn’t believe it until they found that there are real people in pictures.
The forth one: Attractive Hotels
Attractive hotels are a distinctive feature on Mykonos and Santorini. All hotels on these two islands are small-scale, most of them with as few as 10 guest rooms. You can find the Grace Hotel Chain on both islands. Grace Mykonos is very quite, when you step into it you don’t want to go out again with its wonderful design. There is a small swimming pool beside the gate of restaurant, you can see the bay from your room, and there is a jacuzzi on balcony. You can enjoy many wonderful views from here. It’s so wonderful.
Grace Santroini is more attractive, which is the newest hotel in Imerovigli on island. The Honeymoon Suite is a designated room which is recommended by some authoritative tour magazines. There are different types of rust or corrosion. Galvanic Corrosion
This takes place when two dissimilar metals are submerged in water. These metals become like a Battery, one metal acts as the positive side of the battery and the metal become the negative side of the battery and then generates small electrical current flowing from one metal to the other, it eats away at the weaker of the two metals
Electrolytic Corrosion.
This is caused by currents from outside your boat, such as leakage from your shore-power system or a mild electrical current from a nearby boat.
Rust Corrosion.
Iron and steel will get that common reddish-brown rust wherever bare metal is exposed to any type of dampness.
Pitting Corrosion.
Aluminum doesn’t “corrode” but rather forms a layer of oxidation on the surface that looks like small dull grime with whitish lumps.
Some steps to take in slowing or stopping Rust or Corrosion are:
One method to stop the Galvanic and Electrolytic Corrosion is by using a system of Zinc Anodes.
The Zinc Anodes should be bolted to the out-drive, rudders, prop shafts, trim tabs and all other areas of metal that could be attacked. The Zinc Anodes are sacrificial and they will be eaten away before the corrosion can get into your more expensive metal parts of your boat.
For Galvanic Corrosion can also be eliminated by keeping dissimilar metals apart. Mounting an aluminum fitting with a bronze bolt is asking for trouble, which is why stainless-steel bolts are commonly used for boating gear. If you have to replace a metal fitting with a dissimilar metal, you must insulate the two metals from each other with a layer of electrical or rubber tape.
A method to stop Common Rust is in prevention by coating all the parts with ZIRLON to keep them protected from the wet and dampness. If it’s already started to rust, you can’t just paint over it since the rust will continue to blossom under a layer of paint that will soon blister off. Instead, use a wire brush, bronze wool (not steel wool, which leaves pieces that will rust!), or sandpaper to get down to bare metal, apply a coat of ZIRLON.
Another method to stop Aluminum Corrosion, actually to stop Aluminum Oxidation is to protect it with ZIRLON before oxidation begins. Once it has that grayish film, which is actually oxidation, has shown up you need to sand it off or use a specialized aluminum restoration product that will clean the surface .Then protect the parts with ZIRLON. With ZIRLON the aluminum will remain a fairly high maintenance item on your boat.
The other metal is Stainless Steel. Even with its name, stainless steel isn’t stain-less. You have frequently seen weepings or runs of rust on a stainless-steel. Even stainless steel can bleed a little corrosion. Using wax can help protect the stainless steel but ZIRLON in the beginning is a long time protection that you can use to prevent it from starting.
Is your boat being attacked by Galvanic or Electrolytic Corrosion?
Look for galvanic or electrolytic corrosion in the pitting of your Zinc Anodes. Another way to tell when you are being attacked is when your metal parts turn pinkish in color. The boat itself is a real head turner! Its inflatable tubes are flame red in colour with a matching red canopy with white stripe. The canopy supports are painted jet black.The vessel has a stepped hull and this design provides the divers with the softest ride possible.With a beam in excess of four metres it has plenty of room for divers to move around in.The vessel is powered by twin 250 horse power Suzuki four stroke outboards giving it a top speed in excess of forty knots and a cruising speed of around thirty knots.
The boat trip from the entrance of Mooloolaba Harbour to the ex-HMAS BRISBANE is just over ten minutes.he console is located towards the front of the vessel and this leaves plenty of space down the middle of the boat for seating for all divers and their two tanks.Tank storage and ease of loading and unloading are crucial to satisfying divers.
Thoughtful planning and careful execution have resulted in a simple, yet effective solution. The custom made black PVC tank racks not only look good, they are fully functional.Each diver’s personal snorkeling system is located directly under their seat. Weight systems are stowed out of the way directly in front of each diver. Light gear such as caps, sun glasses and jackets can be stowed above the diver’s seat under the canopy.
Diver comfort and safety are of the utmost importance in any dive charter operation. Both issues have been properly addressed with the water entries.Divers have the choice of either a roll back entry off either side of the vessel or if they choose they can perform a giant stride entry from the rear of the vessel.
Divers appreciate the ease of exiting the water using the duel ezy-fold aluminium ladders and handrails. You are frequently faced with an exciting and difficult dilemma when you go to the Colorado campgrounds. Colorado has a number of good campgrounds, but it is very tough to get the best of them all. You will get a good Colorado campground which has a beautiful picturesque view which can be used by anyone. Pullouts along the main road are quite popular with motor campers almost all round the year. But with the neighboring Rocky Mountains, one is tempted to go a little further and enjoy a more pastoral sort of camping. Colorado Mountain camping can be for you if you don’t have a problem with high altitudes, severe temperatures, difficult hiking, and a scarcity of contemporary conveniences.
It is best that you don’t get too ambitious, if you are making your first tour to the Colorado campgrounds, as most of us don’t realize how much we are dependent on current conveniences till we get into the woods. I was dejected in my initial Colorado campground excursion as not being aware of what to pack, had got clothes which were not really appropriate for this environment. It was really hot in the day and extremely cold at night, and normally cold and depressing. I also had problems in cooking food, and resulted in staying hungry most of the time. Don’t really have to mention but it was not the best way to get introduced to the world of out-of-doors camping.
From that time my experience with Colorado campgrounds has grown and I am more aware of what to expect. It should be known that if any campsite is at an elevated altitude, one must be ready for nights which are very cold. Now I can anchor my tent correctly, so that it is not blown away by the winds. One has to carry additional flashlights as well as a heat lamp or portable stove. I am also aware that I should not carry pointless luxuries and have space for the things I need here.
But there are times that it feels nice to visit a well-situated Colorado campground. In fact at times I prefer to stay away from camping and stay in a cabin instead. A pastoral cabin offers you the feeling of getting away from the busy city surroundings, without making things very extreme. It is possible to sleep comfortably, and feel secure without being blown by the wind. There are times when one likes roughing it while sometimes it is nice be comfortable.
